About

About Afflueno

Afflueno is a global wealth-building publication that helps people grow their money and make better financial decisions — through original reporting, plain-language explainers, and free financial tools. Affluence, without the private-banking stiffness.

Our mission

Money decisions are some of the most consequential choices people make, and also some of the most confusing. Rates change, products get renamed, and the fine print rarely gets easier to read. Afflueno exists to close that gap — explaining how credit, banking, investing, loans, insurance, and real estate actually work, in plain language, so you can make decisions with confidence instead of guesswork.

What we cover

We publish plain-language explainers and guides across credit and credit scores, banking and savings, budgeting, loans and debt, investing, insurance, mortgages and real estate, personal finance fundamentals, and financial technology — plus a growing set of free calculators for the math behind your biggest financial decisions.

Who runs Afflueno

Afflueno is owned and published by Nextzela Technologies (Pvt) Ltd, a company registered in Sri Lanka, and written by a small, independent editorial team. Meet the people behind our guides on the authors page. We are not a bank, lender, insurer, or investment adviser, and nothing here is personalized financial advice — see our disclaimer.

How we make money

Afflueno is free to read. We earn money from display advertising (Google AdSense) and, on some pages, from affiliate links — if you open an account or buy a product through one of those links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Advertisers and partners never decide what we cover or what we recommend. Details are in our affiliate disclosure.

How we research and use AI

Every guide starts from primary and authoritative sources — official program rules, rate information, and regulator publications — rather than repeating what other sites already say. We use AI-assisted tools during research, outlining, and drafting to work faster, and every article is reviewed and edited before it publishes by our editor, Lahiru Dinelka (founder of Nextzela Technologies, which publishes Afflueno), with factual claims checked against the sources we cite. The full process is described in our editorial policy.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we want to know. Meaningful corrections are made promptly once we can verify them, and noted on the article itself — see the "Corrections" section of our editorial policy for how to report one.
